GUJRANWALA, Jan 11: The rice dealers’ association has urged the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) to purchase super basmati rice on a priority basis to save growers from losses. At a meeting, association representative Sheikh Tariq said the TCP was not purchasing rice for export while 2 million tonnes of super basmati rice was lying with dealers for this purpose. —Correspondent
