Man dies of burns

LAHORE, Jan 5: A young man died of burns after his clothes caught fire at a hotel in Mozang area on Monday.

Rescue-1122 officials said that the victim, yet to be identified, was warming himself at Kashmiri Chargha House against a heater when the ‘chittai’ he was wrapped in caught fire. His cries attracted nearby people who tried to extinguish the fire besides calling the rescuers. The fire-fighters rushed to the spot and tried to put the fire out but the man, seemed to be in his 20s, succumbed to his burns.
