NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 13: The general secretary of the Sindh People’s Students Federation (SB), Moro taluka, Asghar Almani, was arrested here on Monday.

Almani and his unidentified companion tried to snatch a motorcycle (HDN-7851) from Ghulam Shabbir Dahri who offered resistance and raised alarm. Some other persons reached on the spot and caught him.

The Moro police have lodged the case and obtained remand for five days.

CLASH: One person was injured in a clash between Arain and Shar tribesmen in Faqir Mohammad Rajpar village, near Padidan, on Monday.

The cause of the clash is said to a dispute over water rotation.

Mumtaz alias Photo Shar was injured and admitted to Padidan hospital.

INJURED: Three person, including two women, were injured in a clash in Ameer Bux Mari village, near Naushahro Feroze, on Monday.

Faqeer Mohammad Mari, Ms Lal Khatoon Mari and Ms Hakimzadi Mari were injured by Chanesar Babar and Imam Ali Babar on allegation that Faqeer Mohammad had stolen their cock.

Complaint has been lodged with the Naushahro Feroze police and the injured have been admitted to Naushahro Feroze hospital.

One person was injured when he slipped while putting wheat in a thresher in Rasool Bux Dakhan village, near D.K. Mari, on Monday morning.

The leg of the victim, Khalil Ahmed Dakhan, was cut off.

He was admitted to Nawabshah Civil Hospital where his condition was said to be serious.

Meanwhile, four persons of Solangi tribe were injured in a clash over water dispute in Ameer Bux Solangi village, near Darya Khan Mari, on Sunday.

Saleem, Wazeer, Mohammad Zafar and Qurban were injured and admitted to the D.K. Mari Hospital.

Hunger strike: The growers and villagers observed a token hunger strike on Sunday against ASI Bakhshal Machhi, in charge, Deparja police check-post, Moro taluka, outside the Moro Press Club.

They alleged that the ASI was demanding wheat and other food grain from small growers.

They further alleged that the ASI was threatening them that he would create problems for them if they did not give him wheat.
