KARACHI, Jan 2: Sindh Women’s Football Association (SWFA) is organising an exhibition match between Hyderabad and Jamshoro at the Qasimabad Stadium, Hyderabad, on Sunday at 11.00am.

The best players in the match will make it to the Sindh team that will take on Balochistan in the three-match series to start in Karachi from Jan 21.

This was announced by Sadia Sheikh, secretary-general of SWFA on Friday. “We were pleasantly surprised to see so many talented girls showing up for camp at Karachi and Hyderabad. It enabled us to even make a Hyderabad and Jamshoro team and the best players from both these teams will be chosen for the Sindh squad. The exhibition match will help us further in picking the best players,” she said while speaking to Dawn on Friday evening.

“SWFA is also grateful to the minister and secretary of the Sports and Youth Affairs department for sponsoring kits and balls for the teams,” she added.

Sunday’s match will be watched by Sadia Sheikh, AFC Aid-27 Coach Hasan Baloch, SWFA Regional Coordinator Ayesha Erum and PO Hyderabad Irshad Makhdoom, who would be making the final selection.
