Under-13 Youth Cup trials from today

KARACHI, Dec 27: Three-day trials for Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) Under-13 Youth Cup by two more AFC coaches working in Karachi, Hasan Baloch and Zafar Iqbal, will be held at the CDGK Stadium from December 28 to 30.

Interested boys born on or after January 1, 1996 are requested to appear for the trials at 3.30pm on Sunday with the computerized NADRA ‘B’ form along with two recent passport-size photographs.

The Under-13 Youth Cup to be played at various cities of Pakistan from January 10 to 25 in order to monitor the work of the paid Asian Football Confederation (AFC) AID-27 coaches, will feature five teams from Sindh. Nasir Ismail and Saleem Patni are the other two Karachi coaches besides Hasan and Zafar from Karachi. The fifth coach from Sindh, Niaz Abro, represents Jacobabad. All together there are 27 football associations all over the country to groom footballers at the grassroots level under the AFC financial assistance scheme.

The final selection for Hasan and Zafar’s teams will be carried out on Tuesday, December 30 by the coaches themselves with help from assistant coaches Jamil Ahmed and Yaqub Baloch.
