CAA Open qualifiers today

KARACHI, Dec 27: The two-day qualifying round of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Open Squash Championship gets into action at the Roshan Khan-Jahangir Khan complex on Sunday.

The organisers plan to organise first two rounds on the opening day of the qualifiers which begins at 10.30am.

Meanwhile, Farhan Mehboob who has made a big leap in the recent world rankings by securing 20th slot has been seeded on top in the main round draw. He is followed by Yasir Butt, Shamsul Islam and Kashif Khan.

The main round runs from Dec 30 to Jan 2. According to break-up of prize money, the winner will receive Rs40,000 while the runner up will earn Rs26,000 out of a total purse of Rs0.2 million.—Sports Correspondent
