Big wins for Zone-IV, VI, VII Whites

KARACHI, Dec 25: Zone-IV Whites, Zone-VI Whites and Zone-VII Whites recorded big victories against Zone-III Blues, District Lasbela and ZONE-V Blues respectively in the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-19 cricket tournament the other day.

Off-spinner Osama Javed captured five wickets for 56 and Waqas Iqbal took three for 55 but failed to save their team Zone-III Blues from a 91-run defeat at the hands of Zone-IV Whites at Pak Star Ground.

In another match played at the TMC Ground, pacer Abdul Ameer took five wickets for 42 as Zone-VI Whites routed District Lasbela by 197 runs. Abdullah Shah cracked 96 with the help of 11 boundaries and Farkhar Zaman slammed 74 with six fours for the winners.

In another game held at the KCCA Stadium, Hamid Shah and Faisal Khan hit half-centuries as Zone-VII Whites thrashed Zone-V Blues by 114 runs.
