FIH course begins

LAHORE, Dec 24: A high-level FIH coaching course commenced here at the National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.

FIH Coaching Manager Tayyab Ikram is the course conductor while Rana Mujahid Ali is assisting as the local course coordinator.

Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary Asif Bajwa said on the opening day that there will be grading of coaches after the course. After that different assignments will be given to the coaches according to their abilities.

PHF invited 39 coaches to take part in the course. Their names are listed below along with their departments.

PIA: Qamar Ibrahim, Ayaz Mahmood, Ahmad Alam, Kamran Ashraf, Saleem Sherwani, Mohammad Irfan, Mumtaz Haider, Anjum Saeed, Ghulam Jillani, Rahim Khan, Musaddiq Hussain, Shahid Ali Khan.

NBP: Mohammad Akhlaq, M. Asif Khan, M. Anis, Khawar Javaid, Tariq Sheikh, Arshad Hussain.

ABL: Khawaja Junaid, Zahid Afzal, Mujahid Afzal.

UBL: Jan Mohammad, Ajmal Khan, M. Rasheed.

HBL: Safdar Abbas, Haider Hussain.

Customs: Danish Kaleem, Mohammad Ali, Wasim Feroze.

Police: M. Shahbaz Junior, Qasim Khan, Masood-ur-Rehman.

Army: Lt Col Nadeem Bhatti.

Lahore: K.M. Bilal.

Islamabad: Mansoor Ahmed.

Quetta: Mujahid Butt.

Wapda: Mian Zahid Iqbal, Shabir Ahmad.
