LAHORE, Dec 23: Six more matches were decided on the second day of NBP-Gold Cup hockey tournament at National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.

Wapda outclassed Railways 9-0 after taking 5-0 lead in the first half. Waqas Sharif scored two in the 4th and 19th minute while Zia-ur-Rehman also struck twice in the 11th and 26th minute. International Rehan Butt, Zakir, Khurram Butt, Rana Asif and Adeel scored one each in 34th, 36th, 39th, 40th and 63rd minutes, respectively.

Port Qasim beat Punjab 2-1. At half time Punjab were 1-0 ahead. Gauhar Rasool scored the only goal for Punjab in the 13th minute on penalty corner. Awais Khan and Mohammad Atif of Port Qasim scored one each in the 53rd and 55th minute respectively.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) beat Sindh 7-3. At half time the score was 3-2 in favour of PAF. For PAF, Barkat Ali fired four goals in the 28th, 38th, 57th and 68th minute. Naveed Khan scored two in the 33rd and 40th minute, while Zeeshan Ali scored one in the 14th minute. Noman, Ale Hassan and Mudassar of Sindh scored one each in 3rd, 31st and 42nd minutes, respectively.

Army beat Habib Bank by three goals to nil. At the end of the first half the score was 1-0. Mohammad Imran scored the first in 33rd minute on penalty corner, while Mohammad Ramzan and Rizwan Jr. banged home in 49th and 68th minutes.

Pakistan Steel carved out a 5-1 win against Police, after having a 1-0 lead in the first half. For the winners, Majid Khan and Mohammad Imran scored two each while Sarfraz Ahmad added one. Ahsan Akram was the lone scorer for Police.

In the last match, PIA beat Navy by three goals to nil. At half time the score was 1-0. Mohammad Zubair (2) and Yasir Islam (1) were the scorers.
