Rain paralyses life in Rajanpur

MULTAN/RAJANPUR, Dec 19: Incessant rain during the last 48 hours has paralysed life in the district, with eatables running short of the demand certain areas.

The public misery has been compounded by frequent and longer-duration power suspensions. Due to the closure of tubewells, people could not find water even for drinking on Friday

Meanwhile, the steal bridge over the Indus between Kotmithan and Chachran Sharif has been closed for traffic. The bridge facilitates hundreds of people from Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan for being the only viable link between the two districts. — Dawn Report
