QUETTA, Dec 18: Jamaat Ahle-i-Hadith Amir Allama Sajid Mir has blamed the establishment and army for the political crisis in the country.

Addressing ‘Tehrik Istahkam Pakistan conference’ here on Thursday, he said that unwise policies of the establishment had made the army fight its own people in Fata and Balochistan.

He said the country was facing serious problems because of hurdles created for political parties by anti-democratic forces.

He said that anti-people rulers, the establishment and army generals had launched military operations in tribal areas and Balochistan to appease the United States.

He said that ending the military operations was a prerequisite for restoration of normality in the country.

Allama Sajid Mir said that US drone attacks in Waziristan showed that the war on terror was Washington’s war, adding that wrong policies of the government had forced tribesmen to take up arms against Pakistani security forces.
