PESHAWAR, May 12: At least two persons were killed and two were injured when a passenger van ran over the commuters standing at a bus stop on Charsadda Road, near Landy Sarak village, on Saturday.

About half-a-dozen commuters were standing at the bus stop when the speeding van (Peshawar-E 7721) ran over them killing two  persons on the spot, while two others received injures.

The names of the two killed could not be ascertained. Gul Agha, son of Shehzada, and Abdul Ghafoor, son of Badam, residents of Landy Sarak village, were injured. The driver fled leaving the van on the road.

The injured were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital, from where they were discharged after first aid.

The bodies were sent to Khyber Medical Collage. Daudzai police have registered a case.
