Wah Cantt to have trauma centre

TAXILA, Dec 13: The Punjab government would establish a trauma centre on G.T. Road near Wah Cantonment.

Deputy District Officer (Health) Dr Izhar Hussain Abdi while talking to reporters here on Saturday stated this.

He said that this hospital, to be established on a 20-kanal land near Asifabad would not only cater to the needs of the areas but would also provide prompt facilities to the commuters especially in case of emergency and road accidents.

Responding to a question, he said that building and infrastructure facilities of three basic health units had been completed.

Khattar and Budoo had been completed at a cost of Rs3 million each.

He said that facilities including provision of furniture and renovation of staff residences have also been upgraded.—Correspondent
