FAISALABAD, Dec 3: Special children held a walk organised by the Sir Syed Education Centre here on Wednesday.

The walk, led by city district nazim Rana Zahid Touseef, was started from the Aminpur Bazaar and terminated at the Clock Tower intersection.

The special children carried banners and placards on wheelchairs inscribed with different slogans to create awareness among the masses about their rehabilitation.

Addressing the participants, Mr Touseef said the special children needed special attention of the masses.

He said that philanthropists and well-off families should render their services for the rehabilitation of the disabled children.

The Tameer Welfare Organization also arranged a function of communal marriages in which 20 disabled girls were tied the knot.

The organization also provided utensil and other household items to the girls.
