TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 2: District and Sessions Judge Jalaluddin Akbar on Tuesday issued a notice to former district nazim Chaudhry Muhammad Ashfaq for Dec 5 in a petition filed by Chak Jhumra police under Section 514 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for forfeiture of his surety bonds.

Complainant sub-inspector Faryad Ali Cheema said that the sessions court had granted district naib nazim Chaudhry Khalid Sardar protective bail for two hours on Saturday to appear before Faisalabad district and sessions judge in a murder case but he did not turn up there within stipulated time. He said the court had granted bail to Sardar subject to furnishing Rs5 million bail bonds and Ashfaq was his surety.
