HYDERABAD, Dec 1: Cane Commissioner Sindh in exercise of his powers, under the Sugar Factories Control Rules 1950, has re-fixed haulage charges for sugarcane for all mills of Sindh with immediate effect.

The notification was issued Monday in pursuance of a meeting held on October 15 in which it was agreed that the haulage charges will be revised in accordance with the increase or decrease in the prices of diesel.

The order of Cane Commissioner said that since diesel prices had been reduced approximately by 17 per cent, therefore, as per the agreed formula, 8.5 per cent decrease was being effectuated in the existing haulage charges.

The revised haulage charges for sugarcane up to 10 kilometres would be Rs6.15, from 11 to 15km Rs7.14, from 16 to 20km Rs8, from 21 to 25km Rs8.93, from 26 to 30 Rs10.13, from 31 to 35 Rs11.14, from 36 to 40 Rs12.11, from 41 to 45 Rs13.42, from 46 to 50 Rs14.30, from 51 to 55 Rs15.12, from 56 to 60 Rs16.15, from 61 to 65 Rs17.08 and from 66 to 70 Rs17.90.
