KHANEWAL, Nov 28: Four masked robbers looted cash, gold and valuables, all worth Rs6 million, from a goldsmith’s house in the Old Khanewal area in Kohna police precincts on Friday.

The robbers barged in the house of goldsmith Nazir Ahmad, locked him and his family in a room and took away 1kg gold, 3kg silver, Rs400,000 and other valuables.

TWO DIE ON ROAD: Two sisters were killed and three members of their family were injured in a road accident near Niazi Chowk.

Muhammad Hussain of 18/AH village was going to Niazi Chowk by his motorcycle with his wife Sughran, sister-in-law Haleema and three children. A bus coming from Multan hit them near Niazi Chowk, killing Sughran and Haleema at the scene.

Hussain and his two children were injured seriously. The injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital from where they were referred to Nishtar Hospital in Multan.

The police took the bus in custody after the driver and conductor fled.
