Two arrested

LAHORE, Nov 27: Model Town CIA police claimed on Thursday to have arrested two members of a criminals’ gang and recovered seven cell phones and illegal weapons from them.

During preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed to a number of incidents of street crime, says a handout.

Capital City Police Officer Pervez Rathore had directed CIA SP Umar Virk to take steps for curbing crimes in Model Town division. A special team collected particulars of Qaisar Abbas gang and arrested its two members.

The police claimed the criminals were history-sheeters and seven cases had also been traced against them in Naseerabad, Model Town, Factory Area and Township police stations. The police recovered seven cell phones, three pistols and bullets from ringleader Qaisar Abbas and Imran.
