Usman, Maliha crowned TT champions

KARACHI, Nov 25: Internationals Usman Ahmed and Maliha Khursheed lived up to expectations by grabbing the boys’ and girls’ single tittles of the Karachi Open Junior table tennis tournament at the Sindh Sports Board Complex on Monday evening.

Usman thrashed Ahmed Aslam 11-8, 11-7, 11-6 without facing any resistance.

Maliha overpowered second seed Abeera Ali 11-9, 11-6, 11-7.

In the boys’ doubles final, Tabish pairing with Salman Lari beat Aahil- Salman 11-6, 5-11, 11-9, 11-7.

Boys’ singles: Usman Ahmed bt Ahmed Aslam 11-8, 11-7, 11-6.

Girls’ singles: Maliha Khursheed bt Abeera Ali 11-9, 11-6, 11-7.

Boys’ doubles: Tabish / Salman Lari bt Aahil / Salman 11-6, 5-11, 11-9, 11-7.
