Pakistan lose against Luxembourg

KARACHI, Nov 24: Pakistan was placed 82nd in the Chess Olympiad at the conclusion of the tenth round in Dresden, Germany.

According to information received here on Monday, Pakistan went 1.5 – 2.5 down to Luxembourg with Haseeb Ahmed registering a win against G. Pierre.

Mohammad Waqar shared a point with B. Mietek.

Amir Karim continued his dismal run by losing to F. Barend and Khalil Butt lost to Chastian.

After 10 rounds, Pakistan men team got 20.5 points.

Pakistan women got full four points when they beat lowly-placed Seychelles 4-0 to raise their points tally to 15.5.
