KARACHI, Nov 24: Doctors at the recently opened Karachi Institute of Heart Disease being run by the city government performed the first successful heart surgery on Sunday, and decided to undertake at least one bypass-surgery at the facility every day.
The hospital, offering cardiac diagnostic and treatment facilities, including angioplasty, angiography at subsidised rates, performed open heart surgery on Naseem Ansari.
City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal visited the patient and presented him a bouquet on Monday.—Staff Reporter
