The former president is expected to stay in the UK for about a week during which he will address the Cambridge University Students Union and different think-tanks.

As president, his last official visit to United Kingdom was in January this year while on way home from a four-nation European tour.

Our Rawalpindi correspondent adds: Gen (retd) Musharraf left for London on PIA’s regular flight PK-785.

He is expected to return to Islamabad on PK-786 on December 1.
