SARGODHA, Nov 23: A five-year-old nomad suffered serious burns after he fell into a boiling water cauldron allegedly in an attempt to get food at a marriage ceremony on Sunday.

Reports said Ghulam Tassawar, who dwells at Mohammadi Colony, tried to enter the marriage ceremony in search of food and fell into boiling water. Critically burnt, he was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Although the DCO has inaugurated the burns unit in the hospital, it is yet to function properly for not having the required equipment. The poor child was admitted to the ICU ward.
