The team headed by the EDO health and comprising district livestock officer and all six tehsil municipal officers of Attock has been directed to ensure/monitor cleanliness and animal slaughtering process at all abattoirs to avoid slaughter of any sick animal.

The district administration has taken the measures after the death of a suspected Congo virus patient at Hazro. The deceased, Arshad Mehmood, was a butcher by profession and had been admitted to the local hospital with the complaints of high fever and bleeding from nose and ears. A medical team visited his residence and conducted fumigation at the house and its surrounding areas.
