KHAIRPUR, Nov 20: Investigation police arrested Head Constable Gul Mohammad Mangi late on Wednesday night and produced him in court on Thursday.

Mangi was one of the police officials accused of murdering three boys who were killed in police firing in Mithal Jagirani village of Gambat taluka on Nov 16.

Three boys Zameer, Gul Baig and Allah Dino were killed after police raided the village and opened fire on villagers who had come out in protest against the raid. Police produced the accused in Anti-Terrorism Court on Thursday morning. The court remanded him in police custody for eight days.

Meanwhile, a police party formed by DIG Sukkur Bashir Ahmed Memon started inquiry in the village incident and initially drew a map of the place of incident. They also recorded statements of parents of the boys and other eye-witnesses.

INJURED: Four students suffered minor injuries in a clash between supporters of JSSF and SPSF in Shah Abdul Latif University on Thursday.

The clash started over raising slogans.
