Dimitrenko retains title

DUSSELDORF (Germany), Nov 16: Ukrainian Alexander Dimitrenko retained the WBO Inter-continental heavyweight tile after he knocked-out Germany’s Luan Krasniqi in the third round here on Saturday night.

Dimitrenko, 26, caught the German challenger Krasniqi, 37, with a crushing body shot after 2 minutes 54 seconds of the third round which ended the fight and left the champion with an unblemished record of 29 wins with 19 kos.

Dimitrenko is now in line to challenge WBO heavyweight champion Vladimir Klitschko.
