Zone-II, VII Whites in U-17 last four

KARACHI, Nov 13: Zone-II Whites and Zone-VII Whites qualified for the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-17 cricket tournament semi-finals on Wednesday.

In the first quarter-final played at the TMC Ground, Zone-II Whites outclassed Zone-V Whites by 152 runs.

Slow left-arm spinner Mohammad Salman claimed seven wickets for 50 runs but the grand effort was not enough to save Zone-V Whites from the massive defeat.

Batting first, Zone-II Whites made 201 all out in 42.2 overs as Ali Ahmed top-scored with 50. Zone-V Whites, in reply, crashed to 49 all out in 23.4 overs. Ahsan Jamil captured four wickets for 19.

In the other quarter-final held at the KCCA Stadium, Zone-VII Whites overpowered Zone-I Whites by five wickets.
