MITHI, Nov 13: An MPA along with a large number of people from the villages of Chhachhro taluka staged a sit-in outside the press club here on Thursday in protest against police failure to arrest people nominated in a murder FIR.

Addressing protesters, the MPA Abdur Razzaq Rahoomo said that Abbas Nohri was killed in Habib Khiyaro village 12 days back over a land dispute. Khainsar police, despite registration of an FIR, had failed to arrest the accused.

Mr Rahoomo alleged that Janu Daris after murdering Abbas arrived at Khainsar police station along with the gun but ASI Ali Ahmed on taking bribe helped the accused to flee. However, the DSP only suspended him, he said.

Qamaruddin, Malhar Malkani and other protesters warned that if the accused nominated in the FIR were not arrested by November 16, they would call for wheel jam strike in the district, besides observing hunger strike unto death.
