Navy takes over guard duty

LAHORE, Nov 9: A changing of the guard took place at the mausoleum of poet-philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal during a ceremony to mark the birthday celebrations of the national poet on Sunday.

A contingent of Pakistan Navy took over the ceremonial guard duties from Pakistan Rangers for 24 hours.

Pakistan Navy Commander North Commodore Syed Hassan Mustafa laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum on behalf of Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir and offered fateha.
