PHF Women’s Wing junior camp

KARACHI, Nov 7: After the completion of countrywide open trials to pick a women’s junior team, Pakistan Hockey Federation’s (PHF) Women’s Wing has short listed 34 probables for the training camp in preparation for the 5th Junior Women’s Asia Cup to be held in Kuala Lumpur from December 13 to 21.

The camp, which commences at the Hockey Club of Pakistan from November 17, will have Secretary, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Women’s Wing Parveen Sikander Gill as the camp commandant with Olympian Akhlaq Ahmad as head coach and Mohammad Parvez and Chand Parveen as the assistant coaches.

Probables: Goalkeepers: Rizwana, Maria Eid Mohammad, Imrana Sattar, Tehmina.

Fullbacks: Sehrish Ghumman, Bismillah Rasheed, Muqadas Parveen, Nadia Kazim, Ishrat, Sehar Shamshad, Zaib-un-Nisa.

Halfbacks: Mumtaz Malik, Shahida G. Raza, Munazza Irum, Asma Ashraf, Marium Mansha, Saira Saeed, Naintara, Mona Sehar, Aqeela Naz, Sana Gul Zaman, Zakia Nawaz.

Forwards: Nazia Rehmat, Hina Kanwal, Ayesha Rafique, Tahira Batool, Bushra Nazir, Saman Islam, Muqadas Akbar, Gulshan Tahira, Ayesha Bashir, Asma Liaqat, Madeeha Manzoor, Rozina.—Agencies
