SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 7: Four people were gunned down and another 13 injured, six of them seriously, by assailants in front of the Ferozewala court on Friday.

Reports said four people, including Shabbir Gujjar, Iqbal Husain and Fida Husain, had come to appear in the court from Khori village.

As they moved out of the court premises after hearing, their rival Asif, the Khori union council nazim, and his accomplices opened indiscriminate fire, killing all the four and injuring 13 passersby. The assailants managed to escape from the scene.

The enmity between the two groups had already claimed four lives from both sides.

Ferozewala police have started investigation.

Reports said Khurram Shahzad and Irbab Bibi wanted to marry, but their parents refused their proposal. In dejection, they took the extreme step. They were taken to the local DHQ Hospital where they died.
