Cech named Czech player of the year

PRAGUE (Czech Republic), Nov 5: Chelsea’s Czech international keeper Petr Cech, 26, has won the accolade of Czech player of the year for a fourth straight year, the Club of Czech sports Journalists said in attributing the award on Wednesday.

Cech, won has won 65 caps for his country and a welter of domestic honours with Chelsea, including a pair of Premiership winners medals, saw off Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky and AC Milan star Marek Jankulovski to win the honour once again.—AFP
