KARACHI, Nov 4: After losing six matches and drawing two, District South champions Lal Bakhsh Memorial registered their first win by beating Gulshan FC 2-0 as FC Aurora edged past Hazara Mohammadan 1-0 in the two KASB Premier League Football (PLF) competitions decided at the CDGK Stadium on Monday.

After playing a goalless first half, the second session in the Lal Bakhsh-Gulshan FC encounter belonged to the winners. Just two minutes into the second half Lal Bakhsh’s right winger Shahid Baloch managed to beat Gulshan’s goalkeeper Adnan Abdullah to score on his solo effort. And the lead was doubled just one minute later by striker Jan Alam.

The other match between FC Aurora and Hazara Mohammadan was a far more thrilling affair although only one goal could be scored in the entire 90-minute duration.

That happened in the 21st minute when FC Aurora’s midfielder Saddam Husain created an opening for striker Mohammad Farhan whose powerful kick could not be blocked by Hazara’s goalkeeper Wajid Ali.
