ISLAMABAD, Nov 4: Deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry is leaving for the US on Nov 15 to attend a series of events.

“Today the chief justice visited the US embassy for biometric measurements, a verification process for a visa application,” his spokesman Athar Minallah, who will accompany Justice Iftikhar during the visit, told Dawn.

On Nov 17, the deposed chief justice will receive the honorary life membership from the New York Bar. For the first time in its history, the New York Bar awarded the membership in absentia because Justice Iftikhar was under detention.
