GILGIT, Nov 4: Member National Assembly Marvi Memon on Tuesday sought implementation of the package announced by the former president Gen (retired) Pervez Musharraf.

Talking to reporters she said things were beyond comprehension as to why the package announced was not implemented.

She lamented that her private bill for the attainment of the rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan was brutally rejected.

She was of the view that a well-prepared bill was tabled by her which should have been vetted by a committee instead of rejecting it.

She reaffirmed he moral and legal support to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and said she would always raise voice for the people on the floor oh the house.

Ms Marvi said she would give a reasonable share of Banazir Income Support Programme to the members of the Northern Area Legislative Assembly.

She said a committee headed by PML Northern Area President Abdul Wahid would ensure that needy and deserving people get their share from the scheme.

She also demanded appointment of judges in apex court of Northern Areas.
