HYDERABAD, Nov 3: The Action Committee comprising teachers, instructors and workshop managers of the rehabilitation centres for physically handicapped children has decided to launch a protest movement for upgrading their service structure and awarding allowance equal to basic salary.

This was decided in a meeting held on Monday which was presided over by

Abdul Hameed Panhwar. The meeting regretted that the post of instructors and workshop managers of rehabilitation centres was not upgraded in the last 27 years and decided to begin the movement from district headquarters and to present the case before media, 10 days before Eidul Azha. It also decided to approach relevant court of law if their genuine demands were not accepted.

Abdul Hameed Panhwar said that it was an irony that the employees of Sindh had been neglected for last 27 years while employees of other provinces working in the same department were being given allowance equal to their basic salary and their posts upgraded.
