Committee formed to run hospital

MIRPURKHAS, Nov 1: A committee has been set up to run the affairs of Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital after civil surgeon Dr Roshan Ali Bhatti was sent on forced leave of seven days.

The committee formed in a meeting held a few days ago under the chairmanship of PPP MNA Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani comprised in-charge of civil hospital Dr Ghulam Rasool Buriro, Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed, Dr Asghar Arain, Dr Akram Sultan, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed, Dr Ashfaque Lodhi, Dr Aneesur Rehman, Zakir Hussain, Malik Mohammed Yasin and Shahnaz Bano.

Dr Buriro said that the chairman of the committee would be EDO of health Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair, who had the powers of drawing and disbursement.

He said that the committee would run the hospital’s affairs till the appointment of a new civil surgeon and said that a security plan had been finalised by the administration for providing security to doctors and paramedical staff in the hospital premises.

A police picket would be set up and eight policemen, including two ASIs would be deployed to provide protection to doctors and staff.
