LAHORE, Oct 29: For the second time in the last eight days, the Lub Gas and the Mehran LPG lowered gas prices by Rs5-20 per 11.8kg cylinder in different parts of the country on Wednesday.

“We appreciate the hardships being faced by Pakistani consumers and expect that this second price reduction will aid households and small businesses who are using our product,” said a spokesman, Fasih Ahmad.

“These reductions are being made entirely at the expense of our companies and meant to be passed on to the end-consumer.” Fasih said the LPG retail prices had fallen to a national average of about Rs72 per kilog.

The prices for distributors have been reduced from Rs805 per 11.8kg cylinder to Rs800 in the NWFP, Northern Areas and FATA; from Rs800 to Rs795 in Dakhni; from Rs810 to Rs800 in Punjab; from Rs810 to Rs800 in Dhodak; from Rs820 to Rs800 in Karachi; and from Rs820 to Rs810 in Hyderabad.
