KARACHI, Oct. 28: Pakistan Test speedster Shoaib Akhtar on Tuesday paid glowing tributes to disabled cricketers for their dedication, devotion and spirit for the game.

He made these observations during his visit to the coaching camp of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket team at National Stadium.

“I learnt a lot by playing with them instead of giving them tips,” he said in his speech.

Cricket icon Shoaib, who bowled and fielded with the physically challenged players, said he admired their love motivation and encouragement for the game which is remarkable.

He promised that he would attend the World Disable Day match to be held in Karachi on Dec 3.

Rawalpindi Express, pointed that he was involved in such kind of activities not only in Pakistan but also in other countries.

He appreciated and commended the efforts of President Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) Saleem Karim and other members of his dedicated team.

PDCA Chief also presented a special souvenir to Shoaib Akhtar. Joint Secretary PDCA Muhammad Nizam also briefed Shoaib about the activities of PDCA.—APP
