Pakistan get 11th place: Beach Games

BALI (Indonesia), Oct 26: Pakistan with two gold medals finished at the 11th place in the inaugural Bali Asian Beach Games which concluded here on Sunday.

Hosts Indonesia lived up to expectations by finishing at the top with 23 gold, eight silver and 20 bronze medals.

Thailand claimed second position with 10 gold, 17 silver and 10 bronze medals while China was third with six gold, 10 silver and seven bronze medals.

Pakistan won gold in wrestling through Ghulam Haider and handball when they beat Kuwait.

Wrestler Mohammad Ali collected a silver while another silver was won in kabaddi.

Pakistan’s three bronze medals were won by Mohammad Taseen, Usman Majeed (wrestling), and Mohammad Imran Qureshi (bodybuilding).—APP
