SIALKOT, Oct 25: Traders of Daska city on Saturday observed a complete strike to protest the 18-hour electricity loadshedding and excessive billing by Gujranwala Electric Power Company (Gepco).

All markets, bazaars and shopping centers remained closed and hundreds of protesters staged a demonstration in Civil Rest House Chowk. They set tyres ablaze and threw traffic out of gear while chanting slogans against the government and Gepco officials.

Meanwhile, loadshedding protesters also held a demonstration in suburban Mandraanwala locality and threw traffic out of gear on Daska-Sambrial Road by burning tyres.
