Need stressed to promote merit

QUETTA, Oct 19: Balochistan Assembly Speaker Aslam Bhootani has underlined the need for adopting merit to ensure a bright future for the youth.

Addressing a ceremony held to distribute awards among youths who showed the best performance in various fields here on Sunday, he said the future of Pakistan linked to the young generation.

Minister for Youth Affairs Captain (retd) Abdul Khaliq Khan, Provincial Minister Rahila Durrani and Provincial Secretary Munir Badani also spoke on the occasion.

Mr Bhootani said the government was taking steps to ensure merit in all fields so the rights of the talented youth were protected.

“If any country wants to be developed it should encourage the talent of the youth and provide them facilities in all fields,” he said.

Aslam Bhootani said that no one could damage the country in the presence of talented youths.
