Trader comes under attack again

Published October 20, 2008

NAROWAL, Oct 19: Ransom-hunter threw a hand-grenade in the house of a trader that fortunately could not explode here in Muhallah Muhammadpura locality on Sunday.

Reports said that the culprit, said to be a proclaimed offender, had targeted the filling station of Asad Mughal near Narowal-Sialkot railway level-crossing with a hand-grenade some one-and-a-half-months back as well for refusing to pay them the protection money.

Mughal informed the police who reached the spot along with a bomb disposal squad and defused the hand-grenade. This was the fifth incident in two months, but luckily no casualty or injury occurred. DPO Tariq Rahim has already formed police teams to arrest the culprit.—Correspondent
