KARACHI, Oct 15: Hyderi Baloch beat Mauripur Baloch 3-2 to grab the top position on the points table in the KASB Premier League Football (PLF) match played at the CDGK Stadium here on Tuesday.

In the six matches that they have played so far, the unbeaten Hyderi Baloch have won five and drawn one, recording 16 points. Mauripur Baloch, meanwhile, are sixth with nine points.

The first goal was scored by the winners in the 26th minute through the 30-yard kick from their international stopper Mohammad Ubaid which went over Mauripur’s goalkeeper Majid Ali’s head.

But parity was restored when Mauripur’s left winger Imran Hussain beat two defenders as well as Hyderi’s goalie Murad Bakhsh in the 34th minute. The score at the interval was 1-1.

Hyderi Baloch went one up again when their substitute right fullback Shakeel Abdullah converted a penalty kick in the 48th minute. Then the 66th minute saw the scoring of another equaliser, this time by Mauripur’s substitute striker Adam Jee. The goal also happened to be the 150th one scored in the current PLF tournament.

Finally, a brilliant combination between midfielders Shehroze Khan and Badar Qadir resulted in getting Hyderi their winning goal in the 71st minute when Badar’s aim from right outside the penalty box reached its target.
