HYDERABAD, Oct 14: Sindh Minister for Provincial Coordination Makhdoom Jamiluzzaman has said that there are no differences between the Makhdoom family and President Asif Ali Zardari and added that people of Hala have rendered tremendous sacrifices for PPP and Hala would remain a stronghold of the party.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Income Support Programme in Hala on Tuesday.

Mr Jamiluzzaman said that country was facing internal and external challenges due to conspiracies hatched by anti-democratic elements since the victory of the Pakistan People’s Party in February 18 general elections.

He said that same elements tried to create differences between his family and the PPP co-chairman but they failed in their nefarious designs.

He said that under the income support programme, 8,000 poor people would be provided Rs1,000 per month under the quota of his father MNA Makhdoom Amin Fahim as financial support to purchase kitchen items. He said that millions of people from all over the country were benefiting from the programme.

He said that in first phase, forms of this programme were being supplied to poor women and widows which would be followed by other male beneficiaries.

Later, Mr Jamiluzzaman received complaints from the people and issued on the spot orders.
