Woman, daughters thrashed in court

TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 10: A woman and her two daughters were thrashed on Kamalia court premises on Friday by 10 people.

Saeeda Bibi and her daughters reached the court to appear as witnesses in a divorce case.

When they came out of the courtroom, people from the rival group attacked them.

Lawyers called police but the assailants, except one, managed their escape.

ACCIDENT: Over two dozen passengers were wounded when a bus bound for Multan from Islamabad turned over near Adda Dawakhri on Friday morning on Gojra-Painsara Road.

The accident was reportedly caused by a donkey-driven cart that suddenly came in front of the speeding bus from a connecting a road.

The injured were shifted to the Gojra THQ Hospital where all but five were discharged after first aid. In another accident on Toba-Gojra Road near Adda Chak 288-JB, a dozen passengers sustained injuries in a collision between two buses.
