Hoggard, Langer to play in HK Sixes

HONG KONG, Oct 9: England paceman Matthew Hoggard, Australian batsman Justin Langer and West Indian legend Shivnarine Chanderpaul will all star at the Hong Kong Sixes next month, organisers said on Thursday.

The trio will join former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming on the All-Stars team at the annual tournament, which takes place in the southern Chinese city from Nov 8 and 9.

“It will be an honour teaming up with such world class players as Shiv, Justin and Stephen for what promises to be a great tournament,” said Hoggard.

“We’re going to enjoy ourselves and have plenty of fun, but at the same time we’ll be deadly serious about trying to win the tournament.”—AFP
