FAISALABAD, Oct 8: Two sisters were gunned down allegedly by the rivals of their in-laws in Chak 144-JB in Sahianwala police precincts on Wednesday.

Sarwat and Sumera were asleep in the courtyard of their house when Ghulam Sarwar and his seven accomplices allegedly opened fire at them and fled.

Both sisters died at the scene. However, other members of the family remained unhurt because they were sleeping in their rooms.

Both women were living in Karachi with their husbands and had come to their village to attend the funeral of their father-in-law.
