LANDI KOTAL, Oct 8: The Afghan government on Wednesday deported 20 Pakistanis and handed them over to authorities at Torkhum border, officials said.

Officials said that the deported men belonged to Peshawar, Mardan and Nowshera districts of NWFP.

They said that almost all the deported men had gone to Afghanistan in search of job.

Officials said that the deported men had gone to Afghanistan without valid travel documents and were arrested from different places. The deported men were shifted to Landi Kotal lock-up after their crossing over to Pakistan. Officials said they will be released after necessary investigations.— Correspondent
