Rivals kill woman, hurt seven

OKARA, Oct 5: A woman was killed and seven other people injured when some men opened fire at their rivals in Chuchuk village on Sunday.

Iqbal, Shahbaz and Nawazish of the Bhatti group opened fire at their rival Sheikhs, killing Nasim, wife of Ghulam Ali, at the scene and injuring Nasir, Allah Ditta, Shahbaz, Zulfiqar, Rafique, Sattan and Aasia.

The injured were taken to a hospital where Nasir and Allah Ditta were said to be in a critical condition.
